جریدتین کی اہمیت
One before whom death appears should face the kiblah direction with the sole of the feet. In his presence, there should be one who recites Surah Yasin and Surah al-Saffat and instructs the moribund to say the two creeds of Islam, to confess following the Holy Imams by names, and to say the following supplicatory words of relief:
لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ الْحَلِيْمُ الْكَرِيْمُ
There is no god save Allah the All-forbearing and All-generous.
کوئی خدا نہیں اس خدائے حلیم و کریم کے علاوہ
لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ الْعَلِىُّ الْعَظِيْمُ
There is no god save Allah the All-high and All-great.
کوئی خدا نہیں اس خدائے علی و عظیم کے علاوہ،
سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ رَبِّ السَّمٰوَاتِ السَّبْعِ
All glory be to Allah the Lord of the seven heavens,
بے نیاز ہے وہ پروردگار جو ساتوں آسمان
وَ رَبِّ الْاَرَضِيْنَ السَّبْعِ
the Lord of the seven layers of the earth,
اور ساتوں زمینوں کا مالک ہے
وَ مَا فِيْهِنَّ وَ مَا بَيْنَهُنَّ
whatever is in them, whatever is between them,
اور ان کے درمیان،
وَ مَا فَوْقَهُنَّ وَ مَا تَحْتَهُنَّ
whatever is above them, and whatever is beneath them,
ان کے اوپر نیچے جو کچھ بھی ہے
وَ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ
and the Lord of the Great Throne.
ان سب کا مالک ہے اور عرشِ عظیم کا مالک ہے۔
وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
All praise be to Allah the Lord of the worlds.
ساری حمد اللہ کے لیے ہے جو رب العالمین ہے
وَالصَّلَوٰةُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِهٖ الطَّيِبِيْنَ
The moribund must not be attended by ceremonially impure persons or menstruating women.
اور صلوات محمدؐ اور ان کی پاکیزہ اولاد کے لیے ہے۔
