سونے سے پہلے کی دعا
Thirty-three: Quoted from ‘Uddat al-Da’i, Imam ‘Ali Amir al-Mu’minin (‘a) is reported to have said: When you intend to go to sleep, you may put your right hand under your right cheek and say this devotional statement. If you say it before going to sleep, Almighty Allah will guard you against raiding thieves and against demolition, and the angels will implore Almighty Allah to forgive you:
بِسْمِ اللهِ
In the Name of Allah.
اللہ کے نام کے سہارے
وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِىْ لِلّٰهِ
I put my side for the sake of Allah,
میں نے اپنے پہلو کو بستر سے لگایا ہے۔
عَلٰى مِلَّةِ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ
following the faith of Abraham,
ابراہیمؑ کی ملّت،
وَ دِيْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ
the religion of Muhammad,
پیغمبرؐ کے دین
صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ اٰلِهِ
may Allah send blessings and benediction upon him and his Household,
درود و سلام ہو ان پر اور ان کی آلؑ پر
وَ وِلَايَةِ مَنِ افْتَرَضَ اللهُ طَاعَتَهُ
and showing loyalty to those the obedience to whom has been made incumbent upon us by Allah.
اور ان لوگوں کی محبت پر جن کی اطاعت کو اللہ نے واجب کیا ہے
مَا شَاۤءَ اللهُ كَانَ
Only what Allah wills shall come to pass,
جو اللہ چاہتا ہے وہ ہوجاتا ہے
وَ مَا لَمْ يَشَأۤ لَمْ يَكُنْ۔
but what Allah does not will shall never come to pass.
جو نہیں چاہتا وہ نہیں ہوسکتا ہے۔
