دعائے عقیقہ
Twenty-fifth: It is reported that the following statement should be said at slaughtering the animal that is offered as sacrifice in the name of the newborn:
بِسْمِ اللهِ وَ بِاللهِ
In the Name of Allah (I begin) and in Allah (I put my trust).
اللہ کے نام سے اللہ کے سہارے سے۔
new born's name should be mentioned
اَللّٰهُمَّ عَقِيْقَةٌ عَنْ
O Allah, this animal is oblation for [the new born should be mentioned]
خدایا یہ قربانی ہے فلان بچّے کی طرف سے
لَحْمُهَا بِلَحْمِهِ
Its meat is for his flesh,
جس کا گوشت اس کے گوشت کے عوض
وَ دَمُهَا بِدَمِهِ
its blood for his blood,
اور اس کا خون اس کے خون کے عوض،
وَ عَظْمُهَا بِعَظْمِهِ
and its bone for his bone.
اس کی ہڈّیاں اس کی ہڈّی کے عوض۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا وِقَاۤءً لِاۤلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
O Allah, (please) make it protection for Muhammad’s Household,
خدایا اس کو وسیلۂ حفاظت قرار دے آل محمد
عَلَيْهِ وَ اٰلِهِ السَّلَامُ۔
peace be upon him and them.
علیہم السلام کے لیے۔
According to another tradition, this devotional statement may be said at slaughtering an animal as oblation to Almighty Allah for the newborn:
يَا قَوْمِ اِنِّى بَرِىْءٌ مِمَّا تُشْرِكُوْنَ
“O my people! Surely, I am clear of what you set up (with Allah).
اے قوم میں تمہاری شرک سے بیزار ہوں۔
اِنِّى وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِىَ
“Surely, I have turned myself,
میری توجّہ اس خدا کی طرف ہے
لِلَّذِىْ فَطَرَ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضَ
to Him Who originated the heavens and the earth,
جس نے آسمان و زمین کو پیدا کیا ہے
حَنِيْفًا مُّسْلِمًا
being upright, wholly,
میں اس کا خالص اطاعت گذار ہوں
وَ مَا اَنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِيْنَ
and I am not of the polytheists.”
اور مشرکین سے نہیں ہوں۔
اِنَّ صَلَاتِىْ وَ نُسُكِىْ
“Surely, my prayer, my sacrifice,
میری نماز، میری عبادتیں،
وَ مَحْيَاىَ وَ مَمَاتِىْ
my life, and my death
میری زندگی اور میری موت
لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
are (all) for Allah, the Lord of the worlds
سب اسی اللہ کے لیے ہے جو ربّ العالمین ہے
لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ
“No associate has He;
اور اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں ہے۔
وَ بِذٰلِكَ اُمِرْتُ
and this am I commanded,”
اسی بات کا مجھے حکم دیا گیا ہے
وَ اَنَا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ
and I am of those who submit.
اور میں اسی کے اطاعت گذار بندوں میں ہوں۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ مِنْكَ وَ لَكَ
O Allah, (this is) from You and to You.
یہ تیری ہی طرف سے ہے اور تیرے لیے ہے۔
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ وَ بِاللّٰهِ
In the Name of Allah (I begin), in Allah (I put my trust),
اللہ ہی کے نام سے اور اللہ ہی کے وسیلے سے۔
وَاللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ
and Allah is the Most Great.
اور اللہ بزرگ تر ہے
mention the name of the newborn and his father's name
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
O Allah, (please) bless Muhammad and Muhammad’s Household
خدایا محمدؐ و آل محمدؐ پر درود و سلام نازل فرما
After this, one may slaughter the offered animal.
وَّ تَقَبَّلْ مِنْ ۔۔۔
and accept from [.mention the name of the newborn and his father’s name]
اور اس قربانی کو اس بچّہ کی طرف سے قبول فرمائے۔
