Ten duas for fufillment of petitions (requests)

Sixteenth: Muhammad ibn Harith al-Nawfali, the servant of Imam Muhammad al-Taqi (‘a), has reported that when al-Ma’mun, the ‘Abbasid ruler, decided to give his daughter in marriage to Imam Muhammad ibn ‘Ali (‘a), the Imam (‘a) wrote to him this message:

Every wife must be given a dowry from the property of her husband. As for us, Almighty Allah has put off our properties to give them to us in the Hereafter just as He has given you your properties in advance in this worldly life. I thus decide to dower your daughter with “the means to the response to the petitions.” A number of confidential prayers, my father has given me these supplicatory means and said that he received them from his father Musa, who told that he had received them from his father Ja’far, who told that he had received them from his father Muhammad, who told that he had received them from his father ‘Ali, who told that he had received them from his father al-Husayn, who told that he had received them from his brother al-Hasan, who told that he had received them from his father ‘Ali ibn Abi-Talib, who told that he had received them from the Holy Prophet Muhammad, who told that he had received them from Archangel Gabriel who said, “Muhammad, the Almighty Lord conveys His greetings to you and says that He is carrying to You the keys to the treasures of this world and the Next World. He thus advises you to use them as the means to the response to your petitions. Through these confidential prayers, you can attain your desires and succeed in winning your requests. Therefore, do not use them in this-worldly requests rather than the other worldly requests; lest, you will lessen the value of your other worldly prizes. These means are ten supplicatory prayers by which you can knock on the doors of your desires and they will be opened before you, and you can ask for things, and you will be given access to them.” These confidential prayers (Munajaat) are as follows:

MUNAJAAT FOR GUIDANCE (TO THE BEST)

O Allah, my prayer for guidance from You with regard to the matter about which I have asked You to guide me

اے معبود! تیری پسند وہ ہے جس کام کے لئے میں نے تجھ سے خیر طلب کی

does make all desires accessible, grant abundant gifts,

تو آرزوؤں تک پہنچاتا ہے بڑی بڑی عطائیں کرتا ہے

make win the requests, make easy the gains,

مطالب میں فائدہ دیتا ہے کاروبار کو پاک کردیتا ہے

guide to the most excellent way,

بہترین راستے پر چلاتا ہے

drive to the most praiseworthy consequences,

قابلِ تعریف انجام تک لے جاتا ہے

and guard from the dreadful calamities.

اور پُر خطر مصیبتوں سے بچاتا ہے

O Allah, I pray You for guiding me to the best choice with regard to what I am determined to do

اے معبود! تجھ سے طالب ِخیر ہوں اس کام کے لیے جس کا میں نے ارادہ کیا

to which my reason has directed me.

اور میری عقل مجھے اس تک لے گئی

O Allah, (please) smooth its progress to me,

اے معبود! اس میں جو مشکل ہے آسان کردے

make easy its difficulty,

جومشکل ہے ہموار کردے

save me from what concerns me,

سخت کام میں میری مدد فرما

repel from me what is terrible,

برے انجام سے محفوظ رکھ

and, O Lord, change its bad consequences into good end results,

اور اے پروردگار اس کے نتائج بہتر بنادے

its dreadful parts into safety,

خطرے میں سلامتی دے

its unlikely gains into possible,

دور کو نزدیک

and its barrenness into fertility.

اور تنگی کو آسانی میں بدل دے

O Allah, release Your response to me,

اے معبود! میری دعا قبول فرما

make successful my appeal,

میری خواہش پوری کر

grant me my need,

میری حاجت پوری کر

cut off whatever hinders it,

اس کام کی تکلیفیں مجھ سے دور کر

and stop its misfortunes.

اس کی برائیوں کو دور فرما

O Allah, give me the pennon of triumph,

اور اے معبود! اس میں مجھے کامیابی کے پرچم دے

the true guidance to the best of what I have asked You for,

وہ بھلائی دے جو تجھ سے چاہی ہے

the abundant gain of what I have prayed You for,

جو دعا کی ہے اس میں زیادہ حصّہ دے

and the bestowals of favors in what I have hoped You for.

وہ فائدے عطا کر جن کی تجھ سے آرزو کی ہے

O Allah, attach all that to success,

اس مقصد میں کامیابی سے ہم کنار فرما

adorn it exclusively with righteousness,

اس میں بہتری پیدا کر

make clear before my eyes the reasons for guiding me to this choice

اس میں مجھے خوشی کے اسباب نمایاں کر کے دکھا

and the factors of winning it,

کہ ان میں بہرہ مندی کے نشان ظاہر ہوں

tighten the grip around the throat of its difficulties,

ان میں دشواری کا راستہ بند کر دے

and refresh its dying easiness.

اس کو آسانی کے قریب کردے

O Allah, acquaint me with its confusable matters,

اس میں مدہم چیز کو روشن کردے

release its detained affairs,

اس میں بندھے ہوئے کو کھول دے

and make firm its foundations

اس کی بنیاد مضبوط بنا کہ

so that it will come carrying gains,

مجھے خیر ہی خیر حاصل ہو جس میں فوائد ہوں

removing debts,

نقصان کو ہٹا

bringing about swift benefits,

جلد نفع عطا فرما

and perpetuating its effect.

عمل میں پاکیزگی دے

Verily, You always have more to give

کیوں کہ تو زیادہ دینے والا

and take the initiative to magnanimous conferrals.

عطا میں پہل کرنے والا ہے۔

MUNAJAAT FOR TRUE REPENTANCE

O Allah, it is my hope for Your expansive mercy

اے معبود! تیری رحمت کی وسعت نے مجھے گناہوں کی معافی مانگنے کی طاقت دی ہے

that has motivated me to ask for accepting my true repentance,

تیری طرف سے مہلت

and it is my hope for Your forbearance and leniency

اور نرمی کی امید نے مجھے تجھ سے امان لینے

that has encouraged me to beg Your security and pardon.

اور معافی مانگنے کا حوصلہ دیا

O my Lord, I have committed sins,

اے پروردگار! میرے گناہ ایسے ہیں

which are worthy of encountering Your punishment,

جن کے سامنے انتقام کا چہرہ ہے

and [I have committed] wrongdoings, which have been observed by the eyes of eradication

میری ایسی خطائیں ہیں جو اچک لینے پر تیار ہیں

and due to which, I deserve Your painful chastisement despite of Your justice,

جن کےباعث میں تیرے عدل کے پیش ِنظر سخت عذاب کے قابل ہوں

and because I have committed these wrongdoings, I earn Your annihilating punishment.

اور تیری طرف سے سخت سزا کا مستحق بن چکا ہوں

I am thus afraid that these wrongdoings will obstruct You from responding to me

مجھے ڈر ہے کہ یہ قبولیت ِدعا میں دیر کرائیں گی

and will make You refuse to grant me my requests,

اور حاجتیں پوری ہونے میں رکاوٹ بنیں گی

since they are violative enough to abolish my petition

میرے طلب کرنےکی وجہ سے،

and to cut off the factors of achieving my desires,

فائدہ بنانے اور میرے شوق کو کم کرنے کے لیے

because their overburdens have pressed heavily upon my back

کیوں کہ گناہوں اور خطاؤں کے بوجھ سے میری کمر جھکی ہوئی ہے

and their loads have been too heavy for me to burden.

اور میں مجبوری سے ان کا بوجھ اٹھائے ہوئے ہوں

But when I recalled Your forbearance, O my Lord, with the wrongdoers,

لیکن اے پروردگار! جب میں نے خطا کاروں سے تیری نرمی،

Your forgiveness to the sinful,

گنہگاروں کے بارے میں تیری معافی و در گزر

and Your mercy to the disobedient,

اور نافرمانوں پر تیری مہربانی کو دیکھا

I, carrying my trust in You and relying on You, came towards You,

تو میں تجھ پر اعتماد کے ساتھ تیری طرف بڑھا

throwing myself in Your Presence,

اور خود کو تیرے آستانے پر ڈال دیا

complaining about my grief to You,

تجھ سے اپنا دردِ دل کہتے ہوئے

praying You, O my Lord, for what I do not deserve from You; that is relief from my distress,

ایسی چیز کا سوال کیا جس کا اہل نہیں ہوں یعنی اندیشے مٹائے جانے کا

and for what I do not earn from You; that is alleviation of my anguish,

اور وہ جس کا حق دار نہیں ہوں یعنی غم دور کیے جانے کا

declaring my true repentance before You, O my Lord,

تجھ سے در گزر کا طالب ہوں

and putting my trust in You, O my Master.

میرے مولا مجھے تجھی پر بھروسہ ہے

O Allah, so (please) bestow upon me with relief from You,

اے معبود! پس مجھ پر احسان فرما کر کشائش و آسائش دے

confer upon me with creating for me an easy way out,

مشکلوں سےآسانی کے ساتھ نکال

lead me, out of Your clemency, to the straightest path,

اپنی مہربانی سے میری رہنمائی کر

make me, out of Your omnipotence, deviate from the crooked path,

سیدھی راہ کی طرف اور اپنی قدرت سے مجھے گمراہی کے راستے سے ہٹا لے

release me, out of Your acceptance of my true repentance, from the prison of ordeals,

اپنی در گزر سے کام لے کر مجھے دُکھوں کی قید سے چھڑا دے

set me free from my capture, out of Your mercy,

اپنی رحمت سے میری اسیری کو ختم کر دے

donate me with favors, out of Your pleasure,

اپنی خشنودی عطا فرما مجھ پر

give me generously, out of Your benevolence,

اپنا احسان و کرم کر

steady me, O my Lord, from my slip,

میرے گناہ بخش دے

relieve me from my agony,

مصیبت دور کر دے

have mercy upon my sobbing,

میرے گریہ و زاری پر رحم عطا کر

do not make my prayer inaccessible,

میری دعا کو نظر انداز نہ کر

and by accepting my repentance, (please) strengthen my back,

مجھےمعافی دے کر مجھے قوی بنا

confirm my strength,

اس سے میری کمر مضبوط فرما

set aright all my affairs,

اس سے میرے کام سنوار دے

grant me long lifetime,

اس سے میری عمر میں طول دے

and have mercy upon me on the day of my resurrecting and the time of my restoring to life.

روزِ حشر اور قبر سے اٹھنےکے وقت رحم فرما

Verily, You are all-magnanimous, all-generous,

بے شک تو سخی، عطا کرنے والا،

all-forgiving, and all-merciful.

بخشنے والا اور مہربان ہے۔

And (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household.

اور رحمت نازل فرما محمدؐ اور ان کی آلؑ پر

MUNAJAAT FOR HELP IN TRAVEL

O Allah, I intend to travel;

اے معبود! میں نے سفر کا ارادہ کیاہے

so, choose for me the best in my journey,

اس میں بہتری پیدا کر

make clear before me and inspire to me the right understanding of the most accurate attitude,

اس میں میرے لیے پختہ ارادے کی راہ کھول دے اور سمجھا دے

release my determination by means of straightforwardness,

اس میں میرے لیے ثابت قدمی کا راستہ کھول

include me with safety during my journey,

مجھے اس سفر میں سلامتی سے بہرہ مند فرما

furnish me with abundant fortune and honor,

مجھے بہت زیادہ آمدنی اور عزّت عطا فرما

and preserve me with the excellent safeguard and watching.

مجھے اپنی بہترین حفاظت اور نگرانی میں قرار دے

O Allah, send away from me the inconvenience of journeys,

اے معبود! مجھے سفر کی تھکاوٹوں سے محفوظ فرما

make easy for me the difficulty of roughness,

بیابانوں کی سختیاں میرے لیے آسان کردے

unwrap before me the rug of covering the stations,

دور کی منزلوں کو میرے لئے لپیٹ دے

bring nearer to me the remote watering places,

پانی کے دور کے گھاٹ میرے لئے نزدیک کردے

and make spaces to be longer between the steps of our riding animals,

دورانِ سفربارکشوں کے قدموں کو دراز فرما

so that the remote distances will be nearby

تاکہ دور کے فاصلے قریب

and the rough roads will be smooth.

اور بیابانوں کی سختیاں آسان ہوجائیں

O Allah, make me find in this journey success over evil omens,

اور اے معبود! اس سفر میں بابرکت پرندے کو میرے ہمراہ کردے

endue me with achievement of wellbeing,

اس میں سلامتی سے بہرہ مند فرما

safeguard against failure,

ثابت قدمی کو نگہبان بنا

guidance to survive dangers,

اور راستے کے خطروں کے لیے راہنما

incentives to gain adequacy,

کفایت عطا فرما،

and good opportunity to be protected against authorities.

اور سرپرستی کرنے والا پاسدار عطا کر

O Allah, cause my journey to be a reason for winning marvelous security

اے معبود! میرے سفر کو سلامتی والا

and obtaining profits.

اور منافع بخش قرار دے

Make night cover me against banes

رات کو میرے لیے آفات سے پردہ بنادے۔

and daytime defend me against perishing things.

اور دن کو خطرات میں رکاوٹ کا ذریعہ بنا دے

Out of Your omnipotence, (please) hold back the robbers from reaching me

اپنی قدرت سے راہزنوں کی ٹولیوں کو مجھ سے ہٹائے رکھ

and, out of Your power, guard me against the beasts

اپنی طاقت سے مجھے درندوں سے بچائے رکھ

so that safety will accompany me in my journey,

یہاں تک کہ اس میں سلامتی میری ہم دم

wellbeing will attend me,

اور حفاظت میرے ساتھ ساتھ رہے

good omen will be driven along with me,

برکت میرے پیچھے،

easiness will embrace me,

آسانی میرے ہمراہ،

difficulty will depart me,

تنگی مجھ سے دور،

triumph will agree with me,

کامیابی میرے ساتھ

and security will associate with me.

اور امن میرا ساتھی ہو

Verily, You are the Lord of bestowals, conferrals,

بے شک تو بخشش و احسان کا مالک

power, and might,

اور قوت و طاقت والا ہے

and You have power over all things

تو ہی ہر چیز پر قدرت رکھتا ہے

and You know and regard all of Your servants.

اور اپنے بندوں کو دیکھتا جانتا ہے۔

MUNAJAAT FOR SUSTENANCE

O Allah, send forth on me the bails of Your sustenance in abundance,

پروردگار میرے اوپر رزق کے بادلوں کو برسا دے

make the clouds of Your favoring rain on me heavily,

اور فضل و کرم کی بارش کردے اور اس بارش کو دوام عطا فرما

keep continuous the drizzle of Your gifts to me plenteously,

میری ضرورتوں کے علاوہ اضافی نعمتوں کا سایہ کردے

let the superfluity of Your graces to me fall on my neediness increasingly,

اپنی سخاوت سے مجھے اپنا ہی محتاج رکھ

make me in ceaseless need for Your magnanimity,

مجھے اس شخص سے بے نیاز رکھ جو تجھ سے مانگتا ہے

make me dispense with those who are in want for what is possessed by You,

اپنے فضل کو میری ناداری کی دوا بنا

medicate the malady of my poverty with the remedy of Your favors,

اپنی عطا سے میری حاجت کو بیدار فرما

refresh my dead dearth with Your conferrals,

میری تنگ دستی کو اپنی بہت عطاؤں کا

give as alms to my scarcity Your profuse gifts,

اور میری بے نوائی وفقیری کو

and give to my shortage Yonr generous grants.

اپنی بخشش کا صدقہ دے

O my Lord, pave the way of sustenance towards me,

اے پروردگار! میرے لئے رزق کی راہ آسان کر دے

strengthen its foundations with me,

میرے لیے اس کی بنیادیں مضبوط بنا دے

make the fountains of Your expansive mercy to gush out for me,

اپنی رحمت سے میرے لیے فراوانی کے چشمے جاری کردے

make the rivers of opulent living to flow before me, out of Your clemency,

اپنی مہربانی سے میری زندگی میں خوشیوں کی نہریں رواں کردے

cause the land of my poverty to be barren,

میرے فقر کی زمین کو بنجرکردے

fertilize my barren harsh paucity,

میری بدحالی کے قحط کو فراوانی میں بدل دے

hold off all obstacles against gaining my sustenance,

میری روزی میں جو رکاوٹیں ہیں وہ دور کردے

and cut off any relationship between destitution and me.

مجھ سے تنگی کے نشان الگ کر دے

O Allah, target at me the most productive arrows of opulent sustenance

اور مجھے وسعت ِرزق کا ہدف بنا اے معبود! روزی کی بوچھار کردے

and endow me with the most perpetual affluent living.

میری زندگی کو زیادہ سے زیادہ پُر مسرت بنا

O Allah, equip me with the shirts of opulence and garments of comfort,

اور اے معبود! مجھ کو آسائش کا جامہ پہنا اور خوشی کی چادر اوڑھا دے

for, O my Lord, I expect You to do me the favor of removing my distress,

پس اے پروردگار! میں منتظر ہوں کہ تنگی دور ہو اور مجھے تیری نعمتیں نصیب ہوں

to bestow upon me with the grace of cutting off the impediment,

تاخیر ختم ہو

to endue me with the errand of eliminating my impoverishment,

اور تیری عطا مل جائے روزی کی تنگی دور ہو

and to confer upon me with connecting my cord to Your generosity through facilitation of my affairs.

اور تو فضل سے نواز دے میرا رشتہ تیرے کرم سے جڑے

O Allah, make the sky of Your sustenance shower me with large quantities of the water of Your heavy clouds,

اور آسانی نصیب ہو اور برسا دے اے معبود! روزی کے آسمان سے لگاتار بارش

make me too rich to need Your creatures through Your repetitive conferrals of favors,

مجھے نعمتوں سے زیادہ حصہ دے مخلوق سے بے نیاز کردے

throw deadly shots at the vulnerable spots of my financial deprivation,

میری ناداری کے گلے پر تیر مار دے

carry the ridding of my misfortune on behalf of me

اور میری تنگی دور کرکے اس کا بوجھ

on the quickest riding animals,

تیز تر بار کشوں پر لاد دے

and strike my distress, on behalf of me, with the exterminating sword.

میری عسرت و تنگی کی گردن پر نابودی کی تلوار چلا دے

O my Lord, present me withexpansive favoring,

اے پروردگار! مجھے اپنی وسیع نعمتوں کا تحفہ عطا کر

supply me withevergrowing properties,

اور مال میں اضافے سے میری مدد کر

safeguard me against the distress of paucity,

مجھے تنگ دستی کی اذیّت سے محفوظ فرما

grasp against me the evil of aridity,

اور قحط کی تکلیف مجھ سے دور رکھ

extend before me the carpet of fruitfulness,

میرے لیے نعمتوں کی بساط بچھا دے

serve me with copious dosages of the water of Your sustenance,

اور مجھے اپنی روزی کے خوش گوار پانی سے سیراب کر

pave before me many paths of Your massive abdications,

میرے لئے اپنی عمومی عطا کے دروازے کھول دے

surprise me with wealth and money

مجھے غیر متوقع دولت عنایت فرما

through which You may refresh me from scarcity,

اور اس کے ذریعے مجھے تنگی سے نکال

start my mornings with solvency,

صبح کے وقت میری مدد فرما

and start my evenings with ability to meet my liabilities.

اور خوش حالی کا مالک بنادے

Verily, You are the Lord of great bestowal,

بے شک تو بہت بڑی بخشش

massive favoring,

عام فضل وکرم،

and plentiful conferral,

گراں قدر احسان کا مالک

and You are the All-magnanimous and All-generous.

اور بہت دینے والا سخی ہے۔

MUNAJAAT FOR SEEKING PROTECTION

O Allah, I pray Your protection against the striking mishaps of tribulation

اے معبود! میں تیری پناہ لیتا ہوں نازل ہونے والی بلاؤں کے نازل ہونے

and the horrors of the unbearable adversities.

اور بڑی بڑی تکلیفوں کے خطروں سے

So, O my Lord, protect me against the blows of affliction,

پس اے میرے رب مجھے پناہ دے بے سامانی کی سختیوں سے

veil me from the sways of ordeals,

مجھے مصیبتوں کے حملوں سے بچائے رکھ

save me from the surprising punishments,

مجھے ناگہانی عذاب سے نجات دے

and shelter me against the removal of blessings

نعمتوں کے زوال

and the slipping of steps.

اور قدموں کی لغزش سے پناہ دے مجھے

O Allah, make me inside the fence of Your almightiness

اے معبود! اپنی عزّت کے احاطے

and the barrier of Your haven

اور بچاؤ کی حفاظت میں

against unexpected overtaking of calamities

ناگہانی آفتوں سے

and against the swift sudden misfortunes.

اور جلد آنے والی پریشانیوں سے پناہ دے

O Allah; O my Lord, (please) cause the lands of ordeals to sink down,

اے معبود! اے رب تو بلاؤں کی سرزمین کو نیچے دھنسا دے

cause the yards of crises to quake,

سختیوں کے میدان کو اکھاڑ دے

cast a shadow on the sun of misfortunes,

مصیبتوں کے سورج کو گہنا دے

uproot the mountains of evil,

برائی کے پہاڑوں کو توڑدے

remove the vicissitudes of times,

زمانے کےکرب کو دور کردے

and drive back the obstacles in all affairs.

کاموں کی رکاوٹوں کو ہٹا دے

(Please) take me to the ponds of safety,

مجھے سلامتی کے حوضوں میں پہنچا دے

carry me on the riding animals of honor,

مجھے آبرو کی سواریوں پر سوار کردے

make Your excuse of my slips to be my companion,

گناہوں سے بچنے میں میرا ساتھ دے

and include me with Your covering of my defects.

مجھے پردہ پوشی میں شامل کرلے

O my Lord, grant me liberally Your elegances,

مجھ پر سخاوت فرما اے رب اپنی نعمتوں کی

Your removal of my tribulations,

بلائیں دور کرنے کی

and Your fending off of my adversities.

اور اپنی سختیاں دور رکھنے کی

(Please) ward off from me the thoraxes of Your chastisement,

مجھ سے اپنے تمام عذاب دور فرما

repel from me Your painful punishment,

اپنی سخت سزاؤں کا رخ موڑ دے

safeguard me from the ups and downs of days,

مجھے زمانے کی بدحالیوں سے پناہ دے

rescue me from the evil end results of affairs,

مجھے ہر کام کے بُرے انجام سے نجات دے

guard me against all anticipated matters,

ہر خطرے سے میری حفاظت فرما

split the rock of tribulation in my affairs,

میرے معاملوں میں ہر مصیبت کے پتھر توڑ دے

and paralyze its hand lest it reaches me as long as I am alive.

اور جب تک زندہ ہوں ان کے ہاتھ شل کردے

Verily, You are the All-glorious lord

بے شک تو رب ہے بزرگی والا

Who originates, reproduces,

آغاز کرنے والا لوٹانے والا

and does whatever He wants.

جو چاہے کرنے والا۔

MUNAJAAT FOR ACCEPTANCE OF REPENTANCE

O Allah, I have come to You with the integrity of a sincere repentance,

اے معبود! میں نے سچّے دل سے سچّی وحقیقی توبہ کرنے کے لیے تیری طرف رُخ کیا

the confirmation of a valid determination,

پکا عہد وپیمان باندھنے

the prayer of a limpid heart,

رنجیدہ دل کے ساتھ پکارنے

and the declaration of a clear-cut statement.

اور واضح بات کرنے کے لیے

So, O Allah, accept from me the sincere repentance of me,

اے معبود! مجھ سے قبول فرما خالص توبہ

the approaching of my swift turning to You,

جلد باز آجانے کا قول

and the deadly blows of my fear of Your punishment.

گناہوں کے خوف سے گرپڑنے کو

O my Lord, meet my repentance with abundant reward,

اے رب میری توبہ قبول کر بہت بڑے ثواب

generous final return,

بہتر بازگشت کے ساتھ

absolvement of castigation,

عذاب کی بخشش،

warding off penalty,

سزا میں در گزر

winning of returning to You,

واپسی کی غنیمت

and covering with screen [against sinning].

گناہوں کی پردہ پوشی فرما

O Allah, erase my fixed sins,

اور اے معبود! میرے جو گناہ تو نے لکھے وہ مٹا دے

wash out all my defects by accepting my repentance,

میری توبہ قبول کرکے میرے گناہ دھو دے

and make my repentance to polish my heart,

اس توبہ کو میرے دل میں روشن کرنے والی

to diagnose the insight of my mind,

میری عقل کو بصیرت کا مقام دینے والی

to rinse my filth,

میری میل کو دور کرنے والی

to purify my bodily impurity,

میرے بدن سے ناپاکی ہٹانے والی

to set aright my inner self,

میرے قلب وضمیر کو درست کرنے والی

and to urge my insight to act upon it [i.e. my repentance] immediately.

میری عقل و سمجھ کو بصیرت سے ہم کنار کرنے والی بنادے

O my Lord, admit my repentance,

اور اے پروردگار! میری توبہ قبول فرما

because it emanates from my sincere intention

کہ یہ میری خالص نیت

and from the most accurate and purest form of my perception.

اور سمجھ بوجھ کے ساتھ انجام پارہی ہے

It [i.e. my repentance] also involves perfect determination of my inner self,

میرے باطن کے ہر پہلوسے ہو رہی ہے

an attempt to keep my soul pure,

دل کے چھپے گوشوں کی توجہ سے ہوئی ہے

my firmness to turn to You in repentance,

تیرے حضور میری بازگشت

and my decision to run for obeying Your orders.

اور تیرے حکم پر جلد تر عمل کے ساتھ ہو رہی ہے

O Allah, by means of my repentance, (please) drive away the darkness of insistence on sinning from me,

اے معبود! اس توبہ کے ذریعے مجھ سے گناہوں پر اصرار کی تاریکی دور کردے

erase my burdensome sins that I have committed,

اور اس سے پہلے جو گناہ کرچکا ہوں وہ مٹادے

and dress me the clothing of piety

مجھے پرہیز گاری کا لباس پہنا

and the garments of true guidance,

اور ہدایت کی چادر اوڑھا دے

for I am determined to remove the rein of acts of disobedience to You from my neck

کیوں کہ میں نے اپنے اوپر سے گناہوں کا لبادہ اتار دیا

and to strip the shirt of sinning of my body,

اور خطاؤں کا پیراہن اپنے بدن سے کاٹ پھینکا ہے

holding fast to Your omnipotence, O my Lord,

اے پروردگار! میں نے اپنے نفس کے خلاف تیری قدرت

seeking Your help against myself by Your almightiness,

تیری عزّت سے مدد حاصل کرکے

entrusting with You my repentance from breaching my covenant with You by Your protection of me,

اپنی توبہ کو بچانے کے لیے تیرے سپرد کررہا ہوں

taking refuge in Your haven against that You may disappoint me,

اسے رسوائی سے محفوظ رکھنے کے لیے تیری نگہبانی میں دے رہا ہوں

believing that there is neither might nor power except with You.

یہ کہہ کر کہ نہیں ہے طاقت و قوّت مگر تجھ سے۔

MUNAJAAT FOR HAJJ

O Allah, (please) grant me success to go on hajj pilgrimage,

اے معبود! مجھے وہ حج نصیب فرما

which You have imposed upon whoever is capable of going on it,

جو تو نے ان لوگوں پر فرض کیا ہے جو آنے جانے کا خرچ اٹھا سکتے ہیں

appoint for me in it a guide and a director to it,

اس میں میری ہدایت کا وسیلہ قرار دے اس کی طرف رہنمائی فرما

make accessible for me the remote paths,

اور دور کے راستے میرے لیے قریب کر دے

help me carry out its rituals,

اعمالِ حج ادا کرنے میں میری اعانت ومدد فرما

prevent fire from consuming my body due to my entering into the state of ritual consecration,

میرے احرام باندھنےسے میرے بدن کو آگ پر حرام کر دے

and increase my power and my endurance on my hajj journey.

سفر کے لیے میری ہمّت و قوّت بڑھا دے

O my Lord, grant me the opportunity to present myself in Your Presence

اے معبود! تو مجھے اپنے سامنے کھڑے ہونے

and to hasten my steps to You

اور وہاں تک آنے کی توفیق عطا فرما

and grant me success in obtaining abundant gain.

اس میں مجھے بہت سے فائدے اور کامیابی دے

My Lord, grant me opportunity to attach the situation of the grand hajj

اور اے پروردگار! مجھے حج اکبر کے وقوف سے مشعر میں مقام ِ تقرب تک پہنچا

to Muzdalifah, the holy monument,

جو مزدلفہ میں ہے

deciding it to be a nearer step towards Your mercy

تیری رحمت سے قریب

and a path towards Your Paradise.

اور تیری رحمت میں جانے کا ذریعہ بنے

Help me to stop at the situation of the Holy Monument

مجھے مشعر الحرام کی جگہ

and the situation of the ritual consecration.

اور وقوف حرام کے مقام پر کھڑا کر

Prepare me to carry out the rituals,

مجھے اس کا اہل بنا کہ اعمال حج ادا کروں

to immolate the offertory camels,

اور ان اونٹوں کو ذبح کر کے

causing their blood to gush forth and their throats to be cut off,

جو بڑی کوہان والے،

and make me shed the poured out blood (of these animals),

جوش مارتے خون والے

offer the slaughtered offertory animals,

اور بہتے خون والی رگیں رکھتے ہیں

cut off their throats as exactly as You have instructed,

بہت سی قربانیاں کروں اور ان کی شہ رگیں کاٹوں

and submit them as presents as exactly as You have prescribed.

تیرے حکم کے مطابق وہ فریضہ ادا کروں جو تو نے عائد کیا

O Allah, make me present myself at the Feast Prayer,

اے معبود! مجھے توفیق دے کہ نمازعید ادا کروں

hoping for what You have promised to give,

تیرے وعدے کی امید پر

fearful of what You have threatened Your punishment,

تیری دھمکی سے ڈرتے ہوئے

shaving or cutting short the hair of my head,

اپنے سر کے بالوں کو منڈوائے

exerting all efforts to obey You painstakingly,

یا کم کیے ہوئے تیری فرماں برداری کی کوشش پر کمر باندھے ہوئے

and throwing at the statues

جمروں کو

seven pebbles after seven.

سات سات کنکریاں مارتے ہوئے تیرا حکم بجا لاؤں

O Allah, make me to enter the court and the yard of Your house,

اور مجھے داخل کر اے معبود! اپنے گھر کے احاطہ

the place of Your security, Your Ka'bah,

و اطراف میں جو امن کی جگہ اور تیرا کعبہ ہے

and to give to the poor, the beggars, and the needy who ask from You.

مجھے اپنے محتاجوں اور سائلوں میں رکھ

O Allah, endue me generously with abundant reward

اے معبود! مجھے بہت زیادہ اجر دے

after my return and in my journey back.

میری واپسی اور میرے کوچ کرنے پر

O Allah, seal my performance of the rituals of hajj

اور کامل فرما اے معبود !میرے اعمال ِحج کو

and the termination of my cries with the statements of response to You

اور اپنی بارگاہ میں مجھ پر

with acceptance from You

عنایت کرتے ہوئے

and with clemency that You show me.

آہ وزاری کو قبول کر

O most merciful of all those who show mercy!

اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے۔

MUNAJAAT FOR SAFETY FROM PERSECUTION

O Allah, the persecutions against Your servant have become so prevalent in Your lands

اے معبود! تیرے شہروں میں تیرے بعض بندوں کا ظلم یوں پھیلا ہوا ہے

that it has put an end to justice,

کہ اس سے عدل ختم ہو گیا ہے

interrupted all ways,

راستے کٹ گئے

eradicated the right,

حق مٹ گیا

thwarted truthfulness,

اور صدق باطل ہو گیاہے

enshrouded charity,

نیکی ماند پڑ گئی

demonstrated evil,

برائی سامنے آگئی

extinguished piety,

پرہیزگاری ختم

removed true guidance,

اور ہدایت نابود ہو گئی

dislodged decency,

اچھائی مٹ گئی

planted harm,

بُرائی اُبھر آئی

promoted corruption,

بگاڑ بڑھ گیا

strengthened obstinacy,

دشمنی عام ہو گئی

spread out prejudice,

ظلم پھیل گیا

and exceeded all bounds.

اورزیادتی حد سے بڑھ گئی ہے

O Allah! O my Lord, nothing can eliminate all that except Your authority

اے معبود! اے رب اسے کوئی دور نہیں کر سکتا مگر تیری قوت کوئی اس سے بچا نہیں سکتا

and nothing can deliver from it except Your obliging favors.

مگر تیرا احسان

O Allah! O my Lord, (please) mutilate persecution,

اے معبود! میرے رب ظلم کی جڑ کاٹ دے

demolish the mountains of oppression,

ظلم کے پہاڑ ڈھا دے

stagnate the business of evil,

بدی کا بازار ٹھنڈا کر دے

grant victory to those who deter from it,

اور جو ظلم کو روکے اُسے قوّت دے

harvest the roots of the people of prejudice,

ظلم کرنے والوں کے بازو توڑ دے

and attire them with shrinkage after escalation.

انہیں منتشر کرنے کے بعد پریشانی میں ڈال دے

O Allah, afflict them with inaction immediately,

اور اے معبود!ان پر جلد تر دشمنوں کو چڑھا دے

send down on them exemplary punishments,

جو ان کے ہاتھ پاؤں کاٹ ڈالیں

and put to death the life of wickedness

برائی کی مہلت ختم کر دے

so that the terrorized will be secured,

تاکہ خوف زدہ لوگ امن پائیں

the terrified will calm down,

مظلوم کو راحت ملے

the hungry will become full,

بھوکوں کو طعام ملے

the lost will be guarded,

اجڑے ہوئے آباد ہوں

the fugitive will find a place of settlement,

بے وطنوں کو پناہ ملے

the escapee will return home,

بھاگے ہوئے واپس آئیں

the poor will be satisfied,

بے نواؤں وفقیروں کو مال ملے

the refugee will be sheltered,

اور پناہ لینے والے پناہ پائیں

the old will be respected,

بزرگوں کی عزّت ہو

the infants will be shown mercy,

اور چھوٹوں کو پیار ملے

the wronged will be treated fairly,

مظلوم کو قوت حاصل ہو

the wrongdoers will be humiliated,

اور ظالم پست ہو جائے

the distressed will be relieved,

غم زدہ کا غم مٹے

the agonies will be driven away,

مکمل اندھیرا ختم ہو جائے

the populace will find rest,

ہنگامہ ختم ہو

discrepancy will be wiped out,

اور بےاتفاقی ختم ہو جائے

knowledge will be exalted,

علم کا فروغ ہو

peace will be prevalent,

سلامتی عام ہو

dispersion will be amassed,

اختلاف دور ہو جائے

faith will be strengthened,

ایمان کو بڑھاوا ملے

and the Qur'an will be practically recited.

اور قرآن پڑھا جائے

Verily, You are the Master, the Munificent, and the Favorer.

بے شک تو جزا دینے والا نعمت عطا کرنے والااحسان کرنے والا ہے۔

MUNAJAAT FOR THANKSGIVING

O Allah, all praise be to You

اے معبود! تیرے لیے حمد ہے

for driving away the imminent misfortunes

آنے والی بلاؤں کو دور کرنے پر

and the wrapping harms,

ناگوار مصیبتیں ہٹانے پر

for relieving from the calamitous hardships,

در پیش آنے والے خطرات کو ٹالنے پر

and for the succession of the profuse blessings.

اور پے در پے نعمتیں بخشنے پر

All praise be to You for Your pleasant bestowals,

تیرے لیے حمد ہے تیری بہترین عطاؤں پر

praiseworthy conferrals,

تیری خوب تر آزمائش پر

and great boons.

اور تیری شان دار نعمتوں پر

All praise be to You for Your very much benevolence,

اور تیرے لیے حمد ہے تیرے بہت زیادہ احسان پر

torrential welfare,

تیری جوش مارتی خیر پر

and easy-to-do obligations

تیری طرف سے آسان فریضے پر

and for Your driving away the difficulties.

اور تنگی دور رکھنے پر

All praise be to You, O Lord,

اور تیرے لیے حمد ہے اے رب

for multiplying the little thanksgiving,

کہ توتھوڑے سے شکر کا پھل دیتا ہے

enduing with abundant rewards,

تیرے لیے حمد ہے کہ زیادہ اجر عطا کرتا ہے

excusing the heavy burdens,

گناہوں کا بوجھ اتار دیتا ہے

accepting the improper apologies,

بے موقع سا عذر بھی قبول کرتا ہے

lessening the exorbitant loads,

تو سخت فریضے کا بوجھ اتارتا ہے

making easy the difficult situations,

تو دشواری کے مقام کو آسان کرتا ہے

and dispelling the horrible matters.

اوردل ہلا دینے والے امور کو روکے ہوئے ہے

All praise be to You for Your dispelling the misfortunes,

تیرے لیے حمد ہے اس پر جو بلا ٹل چکی ہے

Your granting abundant charity,

نیکی میں اضافے پر

Your driving away the terrifying matters,

خوف دور ہونے پر

and Your facilitating the oppressive issues.

سر کشی کو رام کرنے پر

All praise be to You for the little mandates,

اور تیرے لیے حمد ہے کم فریضہ عائد کرنے پر

the much alleviation,

اور اس میں زیادہ کمی کرنے پر

the strengthening of the feeble,

کمزور کو قوت دینے پر

and the assisting of the distressed.

اور بے کس کی فریاد رسی پر

All praise be to You for Your long-term respite,

اور تیرے لیے حمد ہے وسیع مہلت دینے پر

Your incessant favoring,

ہمیشہ نعمتیں عطا کرنے پر

Your chasing off fruitlessness,

عذاب کو ٹال دینے پر

Your praiseworthy deeds,

تیرے اچھےاچھے کاموں پر

and Your continuous donations.

اور تیری لگاتار رعنائیوں پر

All praise be to You for putting off the looming punishment,

اور تیرے لیے حمد ہے، عذاب کی جلدی کو تاخیر کرنےپر

shunning sudden chastisement,

اور عذاب میں جلدی نہ کرنے پر

paving the way back to You,

توبہ کی راہ کو آسان کرنے پر

and sending down the rain of the clouds.

اور ابرِ رحمت سے بارش برسانے پر

Verily, You are the All-tender, the Alldonor.

بے شک تو احسان و عطا کرنے والا ہے۔

MUNAJAAT FOR GRANTING OF REQUESTS

He whom You have ordered to pray You is worthily required to pray You

جس کو تو نے دعا کا حکم دیا وہ تجھ پکارنے کا حق دار ہے

and he whom You have promised to respond to his prayers is worthily required to hope for Your response.

جس سے تو نے قبولیت کا وعدہ کیا وہ تجھ سے امید لگا سکتا ہے

O Allah, I have a request [that I need You to grant]

اور اے معبود! میری کچھ حاجات ہیں

that I am too short to fulfill,

کہ ان میں میری ہمت جواب دے گئی

too powerless to do,

میری طاقت کمزور ہوگئی

and too weak to attain.

اس کے حصول میں میری قوّت نرم پڑگئی

My soul that is prone to evil

میرے مارنے والے نفس نے بدی کو میرے لیے آراستہ کیا

and my deceiving archenemy from whom I am suffering

اور فریب کار دشمن نے جس کے چنگل میں ہوں

have beguiled me into shunning wishing for Your help in this request.

مجھے تیری طرف آنے سے روکا ہوا ہے

O Allah, so (please) grant my request the most blissful success,

اے معبود! میرے نفس کوامن کے ساتھ کامیابی دے

direct it towards the path of prosperity,

اسےنجات پانے کا راستہ دکھا

expand my breast with hopeful petition for Your relief,

میرے سینے کو ان حاجات کے پور اہونے کی امید سے کشادہ فرما

facilitate my affairs through the ways of welfare,

مجھے زیادہ اسباب عطا کر

and establish for me triumph through making me attain what I have hoped for

اور اس آرزو تک پہنچنے کی صورت پیدا کر دے

and gain what I have wished for.

اور وہ چیز پاؤں جس کی امید ہے

O Allah, (please) grant me access to the fulfillment of my requests

اے معبود! حاجات کے پورا ہونے میں میری مدد فرما

through attainment of my wish

میرے شوق کو

and achievement of my desire.

سچّا ثابت فرما

O Allah, in the name of Your Nobility, (please) protect me against disappointment, despair,

اور اے معبود! مجھے بچائے رکھ اپنے کرم سے کہ ناکامی مایوسی تاخیر

despondency, and frustration.

اور درماندگی وعاجزی میں پڑجاؤں

O Allah, You are full of plentiful gifts,

اے معبود!بے شک تو بہت بڑی عطاؤں کا مالک اور عطا کرنے والا ہے

You are true to Your words,

تو ہی ہے جو

You have power over all things,

ہر چیز پر قدرت رکھتا ہے

and You know and regard all of Your servants.

تو اپنے بندوں کو جانتا دیکھتا ہے۔
