انسان اور جن کے شر سے حفاظت کے لئے
Sixth: Imam al-Sadiq (‘a) is reported to have said: ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn (‘a) used to say: After I say these words, I do not care even if all men and jinn support each other against me:
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ وَ بِاللّٰهِ
In the Name of Allah (I begin), in Allah (I trust),
اللہ کے نام سے اللہ کی ذات کے سہارے سے ،
وَ مِنَ اللّٰهِ وَ اِلَى اللّٰهِ
from Allah (I derive power), to Allah (I resort),
اللہ ہی کی طرف سے اور اللہ ہی کی طرف
وَ فِىْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ
in the way of Allah (I proceed),
اور اسی کے راستے پر
وَ عَلٰى مِلَّةِ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ
and on the principles of Allah’s Messenger (I advance),
اور اسی کے رسول کے دین پر ۔
صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ اٰلِهٖ
may Allah bless him and his Household.
درود و سلام ہو ان پر اور ان کی آل پر
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِلَيْكَ اَسْلَمْتُ نَفْسِىْ
O Allah, to You have I submitted myself,
خدایا میں نے نفس کو تیرے حوالے کیا۔
وَ اِلَيْكَ وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِىْ
towards You have I turned my face,
اے معبود! میں نے خود کو تیرے سپرد کیا ہے
وَ اِلَيْكَ اَلْجَاْتُ ظَهْرِىْ
to You have I commended my cause,
اپنا رخ تیری طرف کر لیا ہے تجھے اپنا پشت پناہ بنایا ہے
وَ اِلَيْكَ فَوَّضْتُ اَمْرِىْ
and with You have I entrusted my affairs.
اور اپنے معاملے تیرے حوالے کر دیے ہیں
اَللّٰهُمَّ احْفَظْنِىْ بِحِفْظِ الْاِيْمَانِ
O Allah, (please) safeguard me with the safeguard of faith
خدایا مجھے حفظ ایمان عطا فرما
مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَىَّ وَ مِنْ خَلْفِىْ
before me, behind me,
سامنے سے، پشت سے،
وَ عَنْ يَمِيْنِىْ وَ عَنْ شِمَالِىْ
to my right side, to my left side,
داہنے سے، بائیں سے،
وَ مِنْ فَوْقِىْ وَ مِنْ تَحْتِىْ وَ مَا قِبَلِىْ
above me, beneath me, and in front of me,
اوپر سے، نیچے سے، ہر طرف سے
وَادْفَعْ عَنِّىْ بِحَوْلِكَ وَ قُوَّتِكَ
and defend me with Your might and power,
اور اپنی قوت سے ہر بلا کو مجھ سے دور فرما۔
فَاِنَّهُ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَاقُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِكَ۔
since there is neither might nor power except with You.
کیو ں کہ نہیں کوئی طاقت و قوت مگر تجھی سے ہے ۔
Seventh: The following supplicatory prayer of the Ahl al-Bayt (i.e. the Holy Prophet’s Household) may be said to fend off agonies, horrifying matters, and sways of ruling authorities:
يا كَاۤئِنًا قَبْلَ كُلِّشَىْءٍ
O He Who existed before all things!
اے وہ کہ ہر چیز سے پہلے موجود تھا
وَّ يَا مُكَوِّنَ كُلِّشَىْءٍ
O He Who composed all things!
اے وہ کہ ہر چیز کو وجود دینے والا ہے
وَّ يَا بَاقِيًابَعْدَ كُلِّشَىْءٍ
O He Who shall survive after all things!
اے وہ کہ ہر چیز کے بعد باقی رہنے والا ہے
صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ افْعَلْ بِىْ كَذَا وَ كَذَا۔
(Please) bless Muhammad and Muhammad’s Household and...
رحمت نازل فرما محمؐد و آلؑ محمدؐ پر اور میری یہ اور یہ حاجت پوری فرما ۔
