سر اور کان درد کا تعویذ
Imam al-Baqir (a.s.) is reported to have said: Whoever suffers from headache may rub his head with his hand and repeat the following statement seven times:
اَعُوْذُ بِاللّٰهِ الَّذِىْ سَكَنَ لَهُ مَا فِى الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ
I beseech the protection of the One to Whom whatsoever in the lands, in the sea,
پناہ لیتا ہوں خدا کی جس کے حکم سے ہر چیز ٹھہری ہوئی ہے جو خشکی و تری
وَ مَا فِى السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ
in the heavens, and in the earth rests
آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہے
وَ هُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْعَلِيْمُ۔
and He is the Allhearing and Allknowing.
اور وہ سننے جاننے والا ہے۔
SUPPLICATORY AMULET AGAINST EARACHE
Imam al-Sadiq(a.s.) is reported to have advised the same supplicatory amulet to be repeated seven times by those who suffer from earache.
Imam al-Sadiq(a.s.) is reported to have advised those who suffer from earache to do the following:
Bring a piece of very old cheese, crush it, add milk to it, boil it on fire, and pour some drops of it in the ached ear.
SUPPLICATORY AMULET AGAINST HEADACHE
Recite the following holy verse on a glass of water and then drink it:
اَوَلَمْ يَرَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا
“Do not those who disbelieve
آیا کافروں نے نہیں دیکھا ہے
اَنَّ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضَ
see that the heavens and the earth
کہ زمین و آسمان
كَانَتَا رَتْقًا فَفَتَقْنَاهُمَا
were closed up, but We have opened them
باہم جڑے ہوئے تھے تو ہم نے ایک دوسرے سے الگ کیا
وَ جَعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمَاۤءِ كُلَّ شَيْئٍ حَيٍّ
and We have made of water everything living?
اور ہم نے ہر چیز کو پانی سے زندہ کیا کیا
اَفَلَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ۔
Will they not then believe?”
وہ اب بھی ایمان نہ لائیں گے؟
It is reported that whenever the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) was ailed or suffered from headache, he would open his two hands, recite Surah al-Faatehah, Surah al-Falaq, and Surah al-Nas, and then rub his face with his hands. Then, the ache would disappear.
For those who suffer from headache, while rubbing their heads with the hands, the following holy verse should be recited:
اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُمْسِكُ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَ الْاَرْضَ اَنْ تَزُوْلَا
Surely, Allah upholds the heavens and the earth lest they come to naught;
یقیناً اللہ آسمانوں اور زمین کو روکے ہوئے ہے کہ
وَ لَئِنْ زَالَتَا اِنْ اَمْسَكَهُمَا مِنْ اَحَدٍ مِّنْ بَعْدِهِ
and if they should come to naught, there is none who can uphold them after Him.
جگہ سے ہٹنے نہ پائیں اگر وہ ہٹ جائیں تو اس کے علاوہ کوئی انہیں روک نہیں سکتا
اِنَّهُ كَانَ حَلِيْمًا غَفُوْرًا۔
Surely, He is the Forbearing, the Forgiving.
یقیناً وہ بردبار اور بخشنے والا ہے۔
The following incident is quoted from the book of Rabi’ al-Abrar:
In Turtus (a city western Syria), Al-Ma’mun, the ‘Abbasid ruler, was once affected by headache that none could treat. Having heard about this, the Roman emperor sent him a bonnet and a letter in which he wrote, “Having been informed about your headache, I sent you this bonnet so that you would put it on your head and your ache would vanish.” Anticipating that the bonnet would be poisoned, al-Ma’mun ordered the messenger to put it on his head. However, no harm happened to the messenger. Al-Ma’mun then ordered the bonnet to be put on the head of another man who suffered from headache. Therefore, his pain vanished. Only then did he put it on his head and his headache vanished. Surprised, al-Ma’mun untied the bonnet and found the following inscription written therein:
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
خدا کے نام سے جو بڑا رحم کرنے والا مہربان ہے
كَمْ مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ لِلّٰهِ فِىْ عِرْقٍ سَاكِنٍ
Too many graces of Allah are in dormant Q. vein.
کتنی نعمتیں ہیں اللہ کی جو ساکن رگوں میں پائی جاتی ہیں۔
حٰمٓ عٓسٓقٓ
ha-mim 'ayn-sln-qaf
حٓمٓ۔ عسٓق
لَا يُصَدَّعُوْنَ عَنْهَا وَلَا يُنْزِفُوْنَ
They shall not be affected with headache thereby nor shall they get exhausted.
اس سے انہیں نہ سردرد ہوتا ہے نہ ان کا خون بہتا ہے
مِنْ كَلَامِ الرَّحْمٰنِ خَمَدَتِ النِّيْرَانُ
Due to the words of the All-beneficent Lord, fires are extinguished.
یہ اللہ کا کلام ہے جس کے طفیل میں آگ بجھ گئی۔
وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ
There is neither might nor power save with Allah.
اور کوئی طاقت اللہ کے علاوہ نہیں ہے۔
وَ جَالَ نَفْعُ الدَّوَاۤءِ فِيْكَ
Let the benefit of medicine pervade in you
دوا کا فائدہ اس انداز سے ہوگا
كَمَا يَجُوْلُ مَاۤءُ الرَّبِيْعِ فِى الْغُصْنِ۔
just as the spring water pervades in twigs.
جس طرح بہار کا پانی شاخوں پر اثر انداز ہوتا ہے۔
