Dua of Exaltation

In his book of Miqbas al-Masabih, ‘Allamah al-Majlisi says: Imam al-Sadiq(a.s.) is reported through valid chains of authority to have said: There are three hours at night and three others at day at which Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, glorifies Himself. The three hours of days begin when the sun in the east side is in the same rising in the afternoon on the other (west) side; that is at early forenoon. The three hours of night begin at the last third of night up to dawn (fajr). Any servant glorifies Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, at these hours with full heart presence, Almighty Allah will settle his needs, and if he is unhappy (because of sinning), I expect that he will be made happy.

It is most suitable to say the following words of glorification at these hours:

You are Allah; there is no god save You, the Lord of the Worlds.

خدایا تو اللہ ہے اور تیرے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں تو عالمین کا پروردگار ہے،

You are Allah; there is no god save You, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

خدایا تو اللہ ہے اور تیرے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں تو رحمٰن و رحیم ہے۔

You are Allah; there is no god save You, the All-High, the Allgreat.

خدایا تو اللہ ہے اور تیرے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں تو خدائے بلند و برتر ہے۔

You are Allah; there is no god save You, the Master of the Judgment Day.

خدایا تو اللہ ہے اور تیرے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں تو روزِ قیامت کا مالک ہے۔

You are Allah; there is no god save You, the All-forgiving, the All- merciful.

خدایا تو اللہ ہے اور تیرے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں تو ہی غفور و رحیم ہے۔

You are Allah; there is no god save You, the Almighty, the Allwise.

خدایا تو اللہ ہے اور تیرے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں اور تو ہی عزیز و حکیم ہے۔

You are Allah; there is no god save You, from You is the beginning of all things

خدایا تو اللہ ہے اور تیرے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں تجھ ہی سے ہر شئے کی ابتدا ہے

and to You do all things return.

اور تیری ہی طرف ہر چیز کی بازگشت ہے۔

You are Allah; there is no god save You, You have been always existent and You will always be existent.

خدایا تو اللہ ہے اور تیرے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں تو ہمیشہ سے ہے اور ہمیشہ رہنے والا ہے۔

You are Allah; there is no god save You, the Creator of good and evil.

خدایا تو اللہ ہے اور تیرے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں کائنات کی ہر شئی کا تو ہی خالق ہے

You are Allah; there is no god save You, the Creator of Paradise and Hell.

خدایا تو اللہ ہے اور تیرے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں جنّت و جہنّم کا تو ہی پیدا کرنے والا ہے۔

You are Allah; there is no god save You, the One and the eternally besought of all.

خدایا تو اللہ ہے اور تیرے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں تو خدائے احد ہے، صمد و بے نیاز ہے۔

He begets not nor was begotten

نہ تیرا کوئی باپ ہے نہ بیٹا

and there is none comparable to Him.

اور نہ کوئی ہمسر۔

You are Allah; there is no god save You, the King, the All-holy,

تو خدا ہے تیرے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں، تو بادشاہ ہے، تو پاکیزہ صفات ہے،

the Giver of peace, the Granter of security, the Guardian over all,

سلام ہے، مومن ہے، مہیمن ہے

the Almighty, the Omnipotent, and the Grand.

محافظ ہے، عزیز ہے، جبّار ہے،

Glory be to Allah from what they set up with Him.

کبریائی تیرے لیے ہے۔ تو ہر اس چیز سے پاکیزہ ہے جس کو تیرا شریک بنایا جاتا ہے۔

You are Allah; the Creator, the Originator, and the Fashioner.

تو وہ خدا ہے جو پیدا کرنے والا، ایجاد کرنے والا اور صورتیں بنانے والا ہے۔

Yours are the most excellent names.

تیرے لیے بہترین نام ہے۔

Whatever is in the heavens and the earth declares Your glory;

زمین و آسمان کی ہر شئی تیری تسبیح کرتی ہے۔

and You are the Almighty, the Allwise.

تو خدائے عزیز و حکیم ہے،

You are Allah; there is no god save You,

خدایا تو اللہ ہے اور تیرے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں

the Great, the Most High. Grandeur is Your dress.

تو خدائے کبیر و بلند ہے کبریائی تیری ہی ردا ہے۔
