آٹھویں ساعت کی دعا
The eighth hour, which is the space of time between the amount of four units of prayer after the Noon Prayer and the Afternoon Prayer, is dedicated to Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Rida(a.s.). The supplication at this hour is the following:
يَا خَيْرَ مَدْعُوٍّ
O Best of all besought ones!
اے بہترین وہ ذات جس سے دعا کی جاتی ہے،
يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ اَعْطٰى
O Best of all givers!
اے بہترین عطا کرنے والے،
يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ سُئِلَ
O Best of all asked ones!
اے بہترین مسئول،
يَا مَنْ اَضَاۤءَ بِاسْمِهِ ضَوْءُ النَّهَارِ
O He by Whose Name the light of days beams,
اے وہ جس کے نام سے دن کی روشنی
وَ اَظْلَمَ بِهِ ظُلْمَةُ اللَّيْلِ
the darkness of nights dims,
اور رات کی تاریکی ہے
وَ سَالَ بِاسْمِهِ وَابِلُ السَّيْلِ
the heavy rain of floods flows,
اور جس کے نام سے سیلاب آتے ہیں
وَ رَزَقَ اَوْلِيَاۤئَهُ كُلَّ خَيْرٍ
and has provided His intimate servants with all prosperity!
اور جس نے اپنے اولیاء کو ہر نیکی کا رزق عنایت فرمایا ہے
يَا مَنْ عَلَا السَّمٰوَاتِ نُوْرُهُ وَ الْاَرْضَ ضَوْئُهُ
O He Whose light has gone up the heavens,
اور اے وہ جس کا نور آسمانوں سے بلند اور زمینوں سے بالاتر ہے۔
وَالشَّرْقَ وَالْغَرْبَ رَحْمَتُهُ
Whose beam has gone up the earth,
شرق و غرب کو اس کی رحمت حاوی ہے۔
يَا وَاسِعَ الْجُوْدِ
and Whose mercy has gone up the east and the west!
اے بہترین کرم کرنے والے
اَسْئَلُكَ بِحَقِّ عَلِىِّ بْنِ مُوْسَى الرِّضَا
O Ample in magnanimity,
میں تجھ سے حضرت علی بن موسیٰ الرضا
عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَامُ
beseech You in the name of 'Ali, the son of Musa, the well-contented,
علیہما السلام کے واسطے سے
وَ اُقَدِّمُهُ بَيْنَ يَدَىْ حَوَاۤئِجِىْ
peace be upon both of them,
اور انھیں مقدّم کرکے سوال کرتا ہوں کہ
اَنْ تُصَلِّىَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ اَنْ تَفْعَلَ بِىْ كَذَا وَ كَذَا۔۔۔
and I present him as my mediation for the settling of my needs,
محمدؐ وآل محمدؐ پر رحمت نازل فرما اور ہماری حاجتوں کو پورا فرما۔
