دعائے سیفی صغیر المعروف بہ دعائے قاموس
The Supplication of the Minor Sword.
Also called Dua al-Qamus (The Supplicatory prayer of the Ocean), the trustworthy, noble Shaykh Mirza al-Nuri - may Allah honor his tomb - has mentioned this supplicatory prayer in his book entitled al-Sahifah al-Alawiyyah II, adding, “This supplication has been explained by the master scholars of talismans and spiritual sciences with strange words referring to marvelous effects ensuing from reciting it.” Yet, I will not refer to these details because I cannot depend upon their accuracy. Rather, I, imitating our master scholars and avoiding falling in faults, only mention the original text of the supplication, which is as follows:
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
In the Name of Allah; the All-beneficent, the All-merciful
بنام خدائے رحمان و رحیم
رَبِّ اَدْخِلْنِيْ فِيْ لُجَّةِ بَحْرِ اَحَدِيَّتِكَ
O my Lord, include me with the profundity of the ocean of Your Oneness
پرودرگار مجھے اپنے دریائے ہدایت کی گہرائیوں میں داخل کر دے
وَ طَمْطَامِ يَمِّ وَحْدَانِيَّتِكَ
and in the enormity of the sea of Your singleness.
اور اپنی وحدانیت کے طوفان میں غرق کردے۔
وَ قَوِّنِيْ بِقُوَّةِ سَطْوَةِ سُلْطَانِ فَرْدَانِيَّتِكَ
Strengthen me with the strength of the influence of the authority of Your Uniqueness
مجھے اپنی یکتائی کی طاقت و سطوت کے ذریعہ قوّت عطا فرما۔
حَتّٰى اَخْرُجَ اِلٰى فَضَاۤءِ سَعَةِ رَحْمَتِكَ
so that when I come out to the space of the breadth of Your mercy,
تا کہ میں تیری فضائے رحمت تک نکل آؤں
وَ فِيْ وَجْهِيْ لَمَعَاتُ بَرْقِ الْقُرْبِ مِنْ اٰثَارِ حِمَايَتِكَ
my face will have the twinkles of the shining of the nearness to the traces of Your protection,
اس طرح کہ میرے چہرے پر تیری رحمانیت کے آثار اور تقرب کی روشنی چمک رہی ہو
مَهِيْبًا بِهَيْبَتِكَ
being venerable out of Your venerability,
اور مجھ میں تیری ہیبت سے خوف پیدا ہو جائے۔
عَزِيْزًا بِعِنَايَتِكَ
mighty out of Your care (for me),
میں تیری عنایت سے صاحب عزّت ہوں
مُتَجَلِّلًا مُكَرَّمًا
esteemed, and honored
اور تیرے کرم سے صاحبِ کرامت ہو جاؤں
بِتَعْلِيْمِكَ وَ تَزْكِيَتِكَ
out of Your instruction and purity.
تیری تعلیم اور تیری پاکیزگی کی بنا پر۔
وَ اَلْبِسْنِيْ خِلَعَ الْعِزَّةِ وَ الْقَبُوْلِ
Dress me with the garments of dignity and tolerability,
خدایا مجھے عزّت اور قبولیت کا لباس عنایت فرما
وَ سَهِّلْ لِيْ مَنَاهِجَ الْوُصْلَةِ وَ الْوُصُوْلِ
make easy for me to attain the courses of communication and attainment (to You),
اور میرے لئے اپنی بارگاہ تک پہنچنے کے راستے آسان کردے۔
وَ تَوِّجْنِيْ بِتَاجِ الْكَرَامَةِ وَ الْوَقَارِ
adorn me with the crown of decorum and solemnity,
میرے سر پر کرامت اور وقار کا تاج رکھ دے
وَ اَلِّفْ بَيْنِيْ وَ بَيْنَ اَحِبَّاۤئِكَ
and put affection between your beloved ones and me
اور میرے اور اپنے چاہنے والوں کے درمیان
فِيْ دَارِ الدُّنْيَا وَ دَارِ الْقَرَارِ
in this worldly abode as well as the Abode of Enduring Settlement.
دنیا اور آخرت میں الفت پیدا کردے۔
وَ ارْزُقْنِيْ مِنْ نُوْرِ اسْمِكَ هَيْبَةً وَ سَطْوَةً
Out of the illumination of Your Name, confer upon me with honor and authority
اپنے اسمائے الٰہی کے نور سے مجھے ہیبت و سطوت عنایت فرما جس کی بنا پر
تَنْقَادُ لِيَ الْقُلُوْبُ وَ الْاَرْوَاحُ
due to which all hearts and souls will submit to me,
قلوب اور ارواح میرے لئے مطیع ہو جائے
وَ تَخْضَعُ لَدَيَّ النُّفُوْسُ وَ الْاَشْبَاحُ
and all selves and ghosts will succumb to me.
اور نفوس اور اجسام میرے سامنے خاضع ہوجائیں۔
يَا مَنْ ذَلَّتْ لَهُ رِقَابُ الْجَبَابِرَةِ
O He to Whom all the tyrants surrender,
اے وہ پروردگار جس کے سامنے جابروں کی گردنیں جھک گئی ہیں
وَ خَضَعَتْ لَدَيْهِ اَعْنَاقُ الْاَكَاسِرَةِ
and before Whom all the kings submit!
اور جس کی بارگاہ میں بڑے بڑے بادشاہ سرنگوں ہوگئے ہیں
لَا مَلْجَاَ وَ لَا مَنْجٰى مِنْكَ اِلَّا اِلَيْكَ
There in neither shelter nor refuge (to protect) against You save to You,
جس سے ہٹ کے کوئی پناہ گاہ نہیں ہے
وَ لَاۤ اِعَانَةَ اِلَّا بِكَ
there is no help save through You,
اور نہ تیرے علاوہ کوئی مدد کرنے والا ہے
وَ لَاۤ اِتِّكَاۤءَ اِلَّا عَلَيْكَ
and there is no reliance save upon You.
اور نہ تیرے علاوہ کسی پر بھروسہ ہوسکتا ہے۔
اِدْفَعْ عَنِّيْ كَيْدَ الْحَاسِدِيْنَ،
Repel against me the trickeries of the envious ones
خدایا مجھ سے حاسدوں کے مکر کو
وَ ظُلُمَاتِ شَرِّ الْمُعَانِدِيْنَ
and the murk of the evils of the stubborn ones.
اور دشمنوں کے شر کو دور کردے۔
وَ ارْحَمْنِيْ تَحْتَ سُرَادِقَاتِ عَرْشِكَ
Have mercy upon me under the pavilion of Your Throne;
مجھ پر رحم فرما اور مجھے سرا پردۂ عرش کے نیچے جگہ دے۔
يَاۤ اَكْرَمَ الْاَكْرَمِيْنَ
O most Generous of all those who show generosity!
اے بہترین کرم کرنے والے۔
اَيِّدْ ظَاهِرِيْ فِيْ تَحْصِيْلِ مَرَاضِيْكَ
Aid my appearance to attain Your pleasure
میرے ظاہر کی تائید فرما اپنی مرضی کو حاصل کرنے کے لیے
وَ نَوِّرْ قَلْبِيْ وَ سِرِّيْ بِالْاِطِّلَاعِ عَلٰى مَنَاهِجِ مَسَاعِيْكَ
and illuminate my heart and inner self by making me acquainted with the courses to acting for Your sake.
تا کہ میں تیری بارگاہ کے راستوں کی اطلاع حاصل کرسکوں۔
اِلٰهِيْ كَيْفَ اَصْدُرُ عَنْ بَابِكَ بِخَيْبَةٍ مِنْكَ
O my God, how does it come that I leave Your Door with disappointment
خدایا میں تیری بارگاہ سے ناامید کس طرح جاسکتا ہوں
وَ قَدْ وَرَدْتُهُ عَلٰى ثِقَةٍ بِكَ
after I had come to it with full faith in You?
جب کہ میں بڑے اعتماد کے ساتھ وارد ہوا ہوں
وَ كَيْفَ تُؤْيِسُنِيْ [تُوْئِسُنِيْ] مِنْ عَطَاۤئِكَ
How is it possible that You drive me to despair of Your endowment
اور تو مجھے اپنی عطا سے کس طرح مایوس کردے گا
وَ قَدْ اَمَرْتَنِيْ بِدُعَاۤئِكَ
after You have instructed me to pray to You?
جب کہ تو نے خود دعا کرنے کا حکم دیا ہے
وَ هَا اَنَا مُقْبِلٌ عَلَيْكَ
Here I am coming to You
اور اب میں تیری طرف آرہا ہوں
مُلْتَجِئٌ اِلَيْكَ
seeking shelter with You.
تیری پناہ لینے کے لیے۔
بَاعِدْ بَيْنِيْ وَ بَيْنَ اَعْدَاۤئِي
Keep me far away from my enemies
میرے اور میرے دشمنوں کے درمیان دوری پیدا کر دے
كَمَا بَاعَدْتَ بَيْنَ اَعْدَاۤئِي
just as You have kept my enemies far away from one another.
جس طرح میرے دشمنوں کے درمیان اختلاف پیدا کیا ہے۔
اخْتَطِفْ اَبْصَارَهُمْ عَنِّيْ
Take their sights away from me
ان کی نگاہوں کو خیرہ کر دے
بِنُوْرِ قُدْسِكَ
through the Light of Your Holiness
اپنے نورِ اقدس
وَ جَلَالِ مَجْدِكَ
and the Grandeur of Your Glory.
اور اپنے جلالِ بزرگی کی بنا پر۔
اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ اللهُ
You are verily Allah
اس لیے کہ تو وہ پروردگار ہے
الْمُعْطِيْ جَلَاۤئِلَ النِّعَمِ الْمُكَرَّمَةِ
Who confers with the splendid honoring graces
جو عظیم نعمتیں عطا کرنے والا ہے۔
لِمَنْ نَاجَاكَ بِلَطَاۤئِفِ رَحْمَتِكَ
upon those who secretly pray to You out of Your tremendous mercy.
اپنے ہر مناجات کرنے والے کے لئے اپنی رحمت کی مہربانیوں کے ذریعہ
يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ
O Ever-living, O Self-subsisting,
اے حیّ اے قیّوم،
يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَ الْاِكْرَامِ
O Lord of Glory and Honor!
اے صاحبِ جلال و اکرام۔
وَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلٰى سَيِّدِنَا وَ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ
May Allah .send blessings to our master and Prophet, Muhammad,
اللہ ہمارے آقا اور پیغمبر حضرت محمدؐ
وَ اٰلِهِ اَجْمَعِيْنَ الطَّيِّبِيْنَ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ۔
and upon all of his Household—the purified and immaculate.
اور ان کی آل طیبین و طاہرین پر رحمت نازل فرمائے۔
