استغاثہ بحضرت مہدی (عج)
Seeking Aid From Imam al-Mahdi(a.s.):
In his book of al-Kalim al-Tayyib, Sayyid Ali Khan says, “The following is a form of seeking aid from The Argument of Allah and the Patron of the Age (Imam al-Mahdi) - peace be upon him: Wherever you are, you may offer a two-unit prayer, reading Surah al-Faatehah and any other one in each unit. Yet, it is advisable to read Surah al-Fath (No. 48) in the first unit and Surah al-Nasr (No. 110) in the second. You may then stand up, facing the kiblah direction under the sky and then say the following:
سَلَامُ اللّٰهِ الْكَامِلُ التَّآمُّ
Peace of Allah-perfect, complete,
اللہ کا کامل و تأم
الشَّامِلُ الْعَآمُّ
comprehensive, and thorough;
و شامل و عام سلام
وَ صَلَوَاتُهُ الدَّاۤئِمَةُ
and His endless benedictions
اور اللہ کی دائمی صلوات
وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ الْقَاۤئِمَةُ التَّآمَّةُ
and His everlasting, perfect blessings
اور اس کی ہمیشہ رہنے والی کامل برکت
عَلٰى حُجَّةِ اللّٰهِ
be upon the Argument of Allah,
اس حجّت خدا پر جو
وَ وَلِيِّهِ فِيْۤ اَرْضِهِ وَ بِلَادِهِ
His representative in His lands and realm,
اس کے شہروں میں اس کا ولی ہے
وَ خَلِيْفَتِهِ عَلٰى خَلْقِهِ وَ عِبَادِهِ
His viceroy among His creatures and servants,
اور اس کی مخلوقات اور بندوں میں اس کا خلیفہ ہے
وَ سُلَالَةِ النُّبُوَّةِ
the offspring of Prophethood,
نبوت کا خلاصہ
وَ بَقِيَّةِ الْعِتْرَةِ وَ الصَّفْوَةِ
the completion of the (Holy) Progeny and the Choice Ones,
عترت کا بقیہ، اللہ کا منتخب بندہ،
صَاحِبِ الزَّمَانِ
the Patron of the Age,
صاحب الزمانؑ،
وَ مُظْهِرِ الْاِيْمَانِ
the demonstrator of the (true) faith,
ایمان کا ظاہر کرنے والا،
وَ مُلَقِّنِ [مُعْلِنِ] اَحْكَامِ الْقُرْاٰنِ
the teacher of the laws of the Qur’an,
احکام و قرآن کی تلقین کرنے والا،
وَ مُطَهِّرِ الْاَرْضِ
the purger of the earth,
زمین کو پاک کرنے والا
وَ نَاشِرِ الْعَدْلِ فِيْ الطُّوْلِ وَ الْعَرْضِ
the spreader of justice all over the earth,
اور طول و عرض میں عدل و انصاف کا پھیلانے والا۔
وَ الْحُجَّةِ الْقَاۤئِمِ الْمَهْدِيِّ
the Argument (al-Hujjah), the Riser (al-Qa’im), the Well-guided (al-Mahdl),
حضرت محمد قائم مہدیؑ،
الْاِمَامِ الْمُنْتَظَرِ الْمَرْضِيِّ [الْمُرْتَضٰى]
the Leader, the Awaited, the Pleased,
امام منتظرؑ مرضی،
وَ ابْنِ الْاَئِمَّةِ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ
the descendant of the Infallible Imams,
فرزندِ ائمۂ طاہرینؑ
اَلْوَصِيِّ ابْنِ الْاَوْصِيَاۤءِ الْمَرْضِيِّيْنَ
the Successor, the son of the Pleased Successors (of the Prophets),
وصیٔ ابن الاوصیاء،
اَلْهَادِيْ الْمَعْصُوْمِ
the Guide, the Immaculate,
ہادیٔ معصوم،
ابْنِ الْاَئِمَّةِ الْهُدَاةِ الْمَعْصُوْمِيْنَ
and the son of the Imams—the guides and immaculate.
فرزندِ ائمۂ ہداۃِ معصومینؑ ہیں۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُعِزَّ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ الْمُسْتَضْعَفِيْنَ
Peace be upon you, O grantor of dignity to the oppressed and faithful ones.
سلام ہو آپ پر اے کمزور مومنوں کو عزّت دینے والے۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُذِلَّ الْكَافِرِيْنَ الْمُتَكَبِّرِيْنَ الظَّالِمِيْنَ،
Peace be upon you, O humiliator of the arrogant and oppressing unbelievers.
سلام ہو آپ پر اے ظالم متکبّر کافروں کو ذلیل کرنے والے۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا صَاحِبَ الزَّمَانِ
Peace be upon you, O my master, the Patron of the Age.
سلام ہو آپ پر اے میرے مولا صاحب الزمانؑ۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ
Peace be upon you, O son of Allah’s Messenger.
سلام ہو آپ پر اے فرزند رسولؐ۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
Peace be upon you, O son of the Commander of the Believers.
سلام ہو آپ پر اے فرزند امیر المومنینؑ۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ فَاطِمَةَ الزَّهْرَاۤءِ
Peace be upon you, O son of Fatimah the Luminous
سلام ہو آپ پر اے فرزند فاطمہ زہراؑ
سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاۤءِ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
and the Doyenne of the women of the world.
سیدۂ نساء العالمین۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الْاَئِمَّةِ الْحُجَجِ الْمَعْصُوْمِيْنَ
Peace be upon you, O son of the Imams—the arguments (of Allah) and Immaculate
سلام ہو آپ پر اے فرزندِ ائمۂ حججِ معصومینؑ۔
وَ الْاِمَامِ عَلَى الْخَلْقِ اَجْمَعِيْنَ
and the leader of all creatures.
اور تمام مخلوقات پر اللہ کی طرف سے امام۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ
Peace be upon you, O my master
سلام ہو آپ پر اے میرے مولا۔
سَلَامَ مُخْلِصٍ لَكَ فِيْ الْوِلَايَةِ
addressed by him who is loyal to your (divinely commissioned) leadership.
اے بندہ کا سلام جو ولایت میں مخلص ہے
اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ الْاِمَامُ الْمَهْدِيُّ قَوْلًا وَ فِعْلًا
I bear witness that you are the well-guided Imam in word and deed,
میں گوہی دیتا ہوں کہ آپ قول و فعل میں امام مہدی ہیں
وَ اَنْتَ الَّذِيْ تَمْلَاُ الْاَرْضَ قِسْطًا وَ عَدْلًا
it is you who shall fill the earth with justice and impartiality
اور آپ ہی زمین کو ظلم وجور کے بعد
بَعْدَ مَا مُلِئَتْ ظُلْمًا وَ جَوْرًا
after it will be filled with wrong and partiality.
عدل و انصاف سے بھرنے والے ہیں۔
فَعَجَّلَ اللهُ فَرَجَكَ
So, may Allah hasten your reappearance,
اللہ آپ کے ظہور میں تعجیل فرمائے
وَ سَهَّلَ مَخْرَجَكَ،
make easy your advent,
اور آپ کے خروج کو آسان بنا دے
وَ قَرَّبَ زَمَانَكَ
make nearer the time of your coming,
آپ کے زمانہ کو قریب تر بنا دے
وَ كَثَّرَ اَنْصَارَكَ وَ اَعْوَانَكَ
increase the number of your supporters and backers,
اور آپ کے انصار و اعوان کو کثیر قرار دے دے
وَ اَنْجَزَ لَكَ مَا وَعَدَكَ
and fulfill for you all that which He has promised you.
اس وعدہ کو پورا کر دے
فَهُوَ اَصْدَقُ الْقَاۤئِلِيْنَ
He is surely the most truthful of all those who can speak (and He has said):
جو آپ سے کیا ہے کہ وہ سب سے زیادہ سچ بولنے والا ہے
وَ نُرِيْدُ اَنْ نَمُنَّ عَلَى الَّذِيْنَ اسْتُضْعِفُوْا فِيْ الْاَرْضِ
“We desired to bestow a favor upon those who were deemed weak in the land,
اور اس کا وعدہ ہے کہ جنھیں روئے زمین پر کمزور بنا دیا گیا ہے ہم ان پر احسان کریں گے
وَ نَجْعَلَهُمْ اَئِمَّةً وَ نَجْعَلَهُمُ الْوَارِثِيْنَ
make them the Imams, and make them the heirs.”
اور ان کو امام، اور زمین کا وارث بنائیں گے۔
يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا صَاحِبَ الزَّمَانِ
O my master! O Patron of the Age!
میرے مولا حضرت صاحب الزمانؑ
يَا ابْنَ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ
O son of Allah’s Messenger!
فرزند رسولؐ
حَاجَتِيْ كَذَا وَ كَذَا۔
My request is...
یہ ہماری حاجتیں ہیں۔
Mention your need and then go on saying:
فَاشْفَعْ لِيْ فِيْ نَجَاحِهَا
So, intercede for me so that it will be settled,
آپ پروردگار کی بارگاہ میں
فَقَدْ تَوَجَّهْتُ اِلَيْكَ بِحَاجَتِيْ
for I am turning my face towards you for settling my request,
ان کے پورے ہونے کی سفارش فرمائیے۔
لِعِلْمِيْۤ اَنَّ لَكَ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ شَفَاعَةً مَقْبُوْلَةً
since I know for sure that you enjoy with Allah admissible word of intercession,
ہم ان حاجتوں کو لے کر یہ جانتے ہوئے کہ اللہ کے نزدیک آپ کی شفاعت مقبول ہے
وَ مَقَامًا مَحْمُوْدًا
and praiseworthy standing.
آپ کی بارگاہ میں حاضر ہوئے ہیں
فَبِحَقِّ مَنِ اخْتَصَّكُمْ بِاَمْرِهِ
So, I ask you in the name of Him Who granted you (i.e. the Ahl al-Bayt) exclusively the right of representing Him,
اس خدائے برحق کا واسطہ جس نے آپ کو اپنے امر کے لیے مخصوص کیا ہے
وَ ارْتَضَاكُمْ لِسِرِّهِ
and admitted you all to keep His secrets,
اور اپنے راز کے لیے پسندیدہ قرار دیا ہے
وَ بِالشَّأْنِ الَّذِيْ لَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ بَيْنَكُمْ وَ بَيْنَهُ
and I ask you in the name of the standing that you exclusively enjoy with Allah,
اور شان کا واسطہ جو آپ حضرات کے لئے پروردگار کے نزدیک ہے۔
سَلِ اللهَ تَعَالٰى فِيْ نُجْحِ طَلِبَتِيْ
to ask Allah, the Exalted, to render successful my request,
پروردگار سے دعا کریں کے وہ ہماری حاجتوں کو پورا فرما دے
وَ اِجَابَةِ دَعْوَتِيْ
to answer my prayer,
ہماری دعا کو قبول کرے
وَ كَشْفِ كُرْبَتِيْ۔
and to relieve my grief.
اور ہمارے رنج و غم کو دور کر دے۔
You may then ask for whatever you want, and it will be settled for you, by Allah’s permission.
(The author) It is better to read Surah al-Fath (No. 48) after Surah al-Faatehah in the first unit of this prayer and Surah al-Nasr (No. 110) in the second.
