۹۶ : سورة العلق
SURAH AL-ALAQ (THE CLOT)
There are 19 verses in this surah and it was revealed in Mecca. Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (a.s.) said that whoever recites this surah in the daytime or at night, and then passes away, he will be counted amongst the martyrs who died while fighting on the side of the Holy Prophet (S)
It is highly recommended to recite this surah while travelling and it acts as a safety from accidents. If recited on a treasure, it remains safe.
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
اِقْرَاْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِىْ خَلَقَۚ(1)
(1) Read in the name of your Lord Who created.
(1) اس خدا کا نام لے کر پڑھو جس نے پیدا کیا ہے
خَلَقَ الْاِنْسَانَ مِنْ عَلَقٍۚ(2)
(2) He created man from a clot.
(2) اس نے انسان کو جمے ہوئے خون سے پیدا کیا ہے
اِقْرَاْ وَرَبُّكَ الْاَكْرَمُۙ(3)
(3) Read and your Lord is Most Honorable,
(3) پڑھو اور تمہارا پروردگار بڑا کریم ہے
الَّذِىْ عَلَّمَ بِالْقَلَمِۙ(4)
(4) Who taught (to write) with the pen
(4) جس نے قلم کے ذریعے تعلیم دی ہے
عَلَّمَ الْاِنْسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْؕ(5)
(5) Taught man what he knew not.
(5) اور انسان کو وہ سب کچھ بتادیا ہے جو اسے نہیں معلوم تھا
كَلَّاۤ اِنَّ الْاِنْسَانَ لَيَطْغٰٓىۙ(6)
(6) Nay! man is most surely inordinate,
(6) بے شک انسان سرکشی کرتا ہے
اَنْ رَّاٰهُ اسْتَغْنٰىؕ(7)
(7) Because he sees himself free from want.
(7) کہ اپنے کو بے نیاز خیال کرتا ہے
اِنَّ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ الرُّجْعٰىؕ(8)
(8) Surely to your Lord is the return.
(8) بے شک آپ کے رب کی طرف واپسی ہے
اَرَءَيْتَ الَّذِىْ يَنْهٰىؕ(9)
(9) Have you seen him who forbids
(9) کیا تم نے اس شخص کو دیکھا ہے جو منع کرتا ہے
عَبْدًا اِذَا صَلّٰىؕ(10)
(10) A servant when he prays?
(10) بندئہ خدا کو جب وہ نماز پڑھتا ہے
اَرَءَيْتَ اِنْ كَانَ عَلَى الْهُدٰٓىۙ(11)
(11) Have you considered if he were on the right way,
(11) کیا تم نے دیکھا کہ اگر وہ بندہ ہدایت پر ہو
اَوْ اَمَرَ بِالتَّقْوٰىۙ(12)
(12) Or enjoined guarding (against evil)?
(12) یا تقویٰ کا حکم دے تو روکنا کیسا ہے
اَرَءَيْتَ اِنْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّٰىؕ(13)
(13) Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back?
(13) کیا تم نے دیکھا کہ اگر اس کافر نے جھٹلایا اور منھ پھیر لیا
اَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ بِاَنَّ اللّٰهَ يَرٰىؕ(14)
(14) Does he not know that Allah does see?
(14) تو کیا تمہیں نہیں معلوم کہ اللہ دیکھ رہا ہے
كَلَّا لَئِنْ لَّمْ يَنْتَهِ ۙ لَنَسْفَعًۢا بِالنَّاصِيَةِۙ(15)
(15) Nay! if he desist not, We would certainly smite his forehead,
(15) یاد رکھو اگر وہ روکنے سے باز نہ آیا تو ہم پیشانی کے بال پکڑ کر گھسیٹیں گے
نَاصِيَةٍ كَاذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٍ ۚ(16)
(16) A lying, sinful forehead.
(16) جھوٹے اور خطا کار کی پیشانی کے بال
فَلْيَدْعُ نَادِيَهٗ ۙ(17)
(17) Then let him summon his council,
(17) پھر وہ اپنے ہم نشینوں کو بلائے
سَنَدْعُ الزَّبَانِيَةَ ۙ(18)
(18) We too would summon the braves of the army.
(18) ہم بھی اپنے جلاد فرشتوں کوبلاتے ہیں
كَلَّا ؕ لَا تُطِعْهُ وَاسْجُدْ وَاقْتَرِبْ۩(19)
(19) Nay! obey him not, and make obeisance and draw nigh (to Allah).
(19) دیکھو تم ہرگز اس کی اطاعت نہ کرنا اور سجدہ کرکے قرب خدا حاصل کرو
