۸۲ : سورة التكوير
SURAH AT-TAKWIR (THE COVERING UP)
This ‘Makki’ surah has 29 verses. The Holy Prophet (S) said that the person who recites this surah will be happy on the day when the book of deeds of people will be opened. Whoever wishes that Allah (s.w.t) should show him His Mercy on the Day of Judgement should recite this surah.
Recitation of this surah is especially good for the eyes. It improves vision and removes any ailments of the eyes.
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
اِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْۙ(1)
(1) When the sun is covered,
(1) جب چادر آفتاب کو لپیٹ دیا جائے گا
وَاِذَا النُّجُوْمُ انْكَدَرَتْۙ(2)
(2) And when the stars darken,
(2) جب تارے گر پڑیں گے
وَاِذَا الْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْۙ(3)
(3) And when the mountains are made to pass away,
(3) جب پہاڑ حرکت میں آجائیں گے
وَاِذَا الْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْۙ(4)
(4) And when the camels are left untended,
(4) جب عنقریب جننے والی اونٹنیاں معطل کردی جائیں گی
وَاِذَا الْوُحُوْشُ حُشِرَتْۙ(5)
(5) And when the wild animals are made to go forth,
(5) جب جانوروں کو اکٹھا کیا جائے گا
وَاِذَا الْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْۙ(6)
(6) And when the seas are set on fire,
(6) جب دریا بھڑک اٹھیں گے
وَاِذَا النُّفُوْسُ زُوِّجَتْۙ(7)
(7) And when souls are united,
(7) جب روحوں کو جسموں سے جوڑ دیا جائے گا
وَاِذَا الْمَوْءٗدَةُ سُئِلَتْۙ(8)
(8) And when the female infant buried alive is asked
(8) اور جب زندہ درگور لڑکیوں کے بارے میں سوال کیا جائے گا
بِاَىِّ ذَنْۢبٍ قُتِلَتْۚ(9)
(9) For what sin she was killed,
(9) کہ انہیں کس گناہ میں مارا گیا ہے
وَاِذَا الصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْۙ(10)
(10) And when the books are spread,
(10) اور جب نامہ اعمال منتشر کردیئے جائیں گے
وَاِذَا السَّمَآءُ كُشِطَتْۙ(11)
(11) And when the heaven has its covering removed,
(11) اور جب آسمان کا چھلکا اُتار دیا جائے گا
وَاِذَا الْجَحِيْمُ سُعِّرَتْۙ(12)
(12) And when the hell is kindled up,
(12) اور جب جہنمّ کی آگ بھڑکا دی جائے گی
وَاِذَا الْجَنَّةُ اُزْلِفَتْۙ(13)
(13) And when the garden is brought nigh,
(13) اور جب جنّت قریب تر کردی جائے گی
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّاۤ اَحْضَرَتْؕ(14)
(14) Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared.
(14) تب ہر نفس کو معلوم ہوگا کہ اس نے کیا حاضر کیا ہے
فَلَاۤ اُقْسِمُ بِالْخُنَّسِۙ(15)
(15) But nay! I swear by the stars,
(15) تو میں ان ستاروں کی قسم کھاتا ہوں جو پلٹ جانے والے ہیں
الْجَوَارِ الْكُنَّسِۙ(16)
(16) That run their course (and) hide themselves,
(16) چلنے والے اورح چُھپ جانے والے ہیں
وَالَّيْلِ اِذَا عَسْعَسَۙ(17)
(17) And the night when it departs,
(17) اور رات کی قسم جب ختم ہونے کو آئے
وَالصُّبْحِ اِذَا تَنَفَّسَۙ(18)
(18) And the morning when it brightens,
(18) اور صبح کی قسم جب سانس لینے لگے
اِنَّهٗ لَقَوْلُ رَسُوْلٍ كَرِيْمٍۙ(19)
(19) Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger,
(19) بے شک یہ ایک معزز فرشتے کا بیان ہے
ذِىْ قُوَّةٍ عِنْدَ ذِى الْعَرْشِ مَكِيْنٍۙ(20)
(20) The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion,
(20) وہ صاحبِ قوت ہے اور صاحبِ عرش کی بارگاہ کا مکین ہے
مُّطَاعٍ ثَمَّ اَمِيْنٍؕ(21)
(21) One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust.
(21) وہ وہاں قابل اطاعت اور پھر امانت دار ہے
وَ مَا صَاحِبُكُمْ بِمَجْنُوْنٍۚ(22)
(22) And your companion is not gone mad.
(22) اور تمہارا ساتھی پیغمبر دیوانہ نہیں ہے
وَلَقَدْ رَاٰهُ بِالْاُفُقِ الْمُبِيْنِۚ(23)
(23) And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon.
(23) اور اس نے فرشتہ کو بلند اُفق پر دیکھا ہے
وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ بِضَنِيْنٍۚ(24)
(24) Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer.
(24) اور وہ غیب کے بارے میں بخیل نہیں ہے
وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطٰنٍ رَّجِيْمٍۙ(25)
(25) Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan,
(25) اور یہ قرآن کسی شیطان رجیم کا قول نہیں ہے
فَاَيْنَ تَذْهَبُوْنَؕ(26)
(26) Whither then will you go?
(26) تو تم کدھر چلے جارہے ہو
اِنْ هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعٰلَمِيْنَۙ(27)
(27) It is naught but a reminder for the nations,
(27) یہ صرف عالمین کے لئے ایک نصیحت کا سامان ہے
لِمَنْ شَآءَ مِنْكُمْ اَنْ يَّسْتَقِيْمَؕ(28)
(28) For him among you who pleases to go straight.
(28) جو تم میں سے سیدھا ہونا چاہے
وَمَا تَشَآءُوْنَ اِلَّاۤ اَنْ يَّشَآءَ اللّٰهُ رَبُّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ(29)
(29) And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds.
(29) اور تم لوگ کچھ نہیں چاہ سکتے مگریہ کہ عالمین کا پروردگار خدا چاہے
